Man Found Dead in Hof HaCarmel Home; Brother Arrested on Suspicion of Murder

A 41-year-old man was found dead in his home in Ein Ayala, a moshav in the Hof HaCarmel Regional Council, on Thursday. Emergency medical teams arrived after the victim's mother called for help at 14:50, but paramedics confirmed his death at the scene due to severe injuries. The body was transferred to the forensic institute for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

The police launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death, with large forces from the Zikhron Yaakov station and the Menashe district, along with forensic investigators, collecting evidence at the scene. Authorities are examining all leads, including the possibility of murder linked to a family dispute.

As part of the investigation, the victim's brother, a resident of central Israel, was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident. He was taken for questioning at the police station, and a decision on extending his detention will be made in court. Police stated that the investigation is in its early stages and that the motive currently being examined is criminal in nature.
