Maccabi Tel Aviv Considers NBA Dunk Champion Mac McClung as Potential Replacement for Loni Walker

Following reports from BasketNews that three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion Mac McClung might join the EuroLeague, Spanish sports journalists Gerard Sola and Sergio Vegas have suggested possible European teams for the explosive guard, including Maccabi Tel Aviv. Vegas noted that if Maccabi loses Loni Walker, it would be logical for them to pursue McClung, though he expressed uncertainty about McClung's own interest in such a move. Sola added that McClung would be a great fit for Hapoel Tel Aviv and could become a major EuroLeague star.

Mac McClung, 27 years old and 1.88 meters tall, gained global recognition for his virtuoso performances and unprecedented three consecutive Slam Dunk Contest wins at the NBA All-Star Weekend. Despite this, he struggled to secure a stable role in the NBA, appearing in only 17 games across five teams, including eight games last season with the Chicago Bulls.
