Israir Receives Approval to Operate Airbus A330 Flights to Japan, Hong Kong, and Thailand

The Israeli Civil Aviation Authority has granted Israir Airlines the operational specifications needed to operate commercial flights using Airbus A330 aircraft. This approval enables Israir to independently operate flights with its own aircrew and maintenance teams to new destinations across East Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Israir plans to submit requests to launch routes to Japan, Hong Kong, and Thailand following this authorization. The airline's acquisition of Airbus A330 planes, costing approximately $85 million, coincides with its ongoing certification process with the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority to operate flights to the United States. Israir expects to commence its first flights to New York as early as August.
