Woman Seriously Injured in Jet Ski Accident at Sea of Galilee
A 26-year-old woman was seriously injured today while riding a jet ski on the Sea of Galilee. Paramedics and medics from Magen David Adom (MDA) responded promptly, providing initial medical treatment at the scene before transporting her to Poriya Medical Center. She sustained a severe head injury and was reported to be in a state of impaired consciousness upon arrival.
MDA paramedics Yosef Mizrahi and Omri Hochman, along with motorcycle medic Mor Moshe Ben Shabat, described receiving the emergency call and arriving with a sea ambulance boat, an intensive care ambulance, and a rapid response motorcycle. They found the woman conscious but with a serious head trauma and immediately began treatment while transferring her to the ambulance.
The woman was quickly brought ashore by rescuers and evacuated to the hospital with ongoing medical care. Her condition was reported as stable but serious. The incident highlights the risks associated with water sports on the Sea of Galilee and the swift emergency response capabilities of MDA teams in the region.
