Israel Approves Hundreds of New Housing Units in West Bank Amid Terror Wave

In response to a recent surge in terror attacks in the West Bank, Israeli authorities have approved the construction of 763 new housing units across Judea and Samaria. The majority of these units, 673, will be built in the settlement of Eli within the Benjamin Regional Council, effectively doubling its size and significantly expanding the community. Additionally, 90 new housing units were approved in the Har Adar local council near Jerusalem, along with nearly 500 square meters of land designated for construction in Givat Ze'ev.

Officials emphasized that this development reflects a firm commitment to strengthening Jewish presence and infrastructure in the region despite ongoing security challenges. A settlement representative stated, "We have become accustomed to the enemy trying to cut off life, and we respond with added life. The expansion of Eli and reinforcement of Har Adar clearly show that the Zionist spirit will not diminish. We will continue to build, develop, and secure the future of our people in their land."

This move is seen as a national and Zionist response to the current terror wave, aiming to deepen Israeli roots in the ancestral homeland and counteract attempts to undermine the Jewish communities in the area.
