Israeli Security Cabinet Approves 34 New Settlements in West Bank
In March, Israel's Security Cabinet approved a proposal by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Defense Minister Israel Katz to establish 34 new settlements across the West Bank. The decision was kept confidential until now. The new settlements will be distributed as follows: nine in Samaria, seven in Binyamin, four in the Hebron Hills, seven in the Jordan Valley, six in Gush Etzion, and one in the Megilot Regional Council area. This move marks a significant expansion of Israeli settlements in the occupied territories.
