Israel's U18 Basketball Team Eyes Historic Milestones at European Championship

Israel's under-18 basketball team secured a crucial victory on July 29, 2026, defeating Denmark 100-86 in the round of 16 at the European Championship. This win guaranteed their advancement to the quarterfinals and ensured their place in the top division. Their next opponent will be either Slovenia or Latvia, who face off later the same day. The Israeli team, coached by Zilberstein, has two major historic goals remaining in the tournament.
