Iran Says 60% Enriched Uranium Will Be Diluted Inside the Country
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with Iranian television that Tehran’s position is that the only way to resolve the issue of 60% enriched uranium is to dilute it inside Iran.
Araghchi said, “The best time to end a war is when our hand is on top. We are winning on the battlefield.” His remarks came as negotiations over a possible agreement with the United States continue to develop.
Earlier in the day, President Trump shared a quote from Araghchi about the emerging deal with Washington. The comments underscore Iran’s insistence that any handling of the enriched uranium take place on Iranian territory.
