Israeli Military Investigates Serious Security Breach in Classified Unit

Israeli security officials are handling a severe and unusual security breach originating from one of the Israel Defense Forces' (IDF) most sensitive and classified units. About six months ago, a related case became public when a court approved the publication of charges against a civilian and a reservist accused of using classified military information for gambling on the "Polymarket" platform regarding military operations. According to the indictment, the reservist accessed classified information through his role, which both individuals exploited for their activities.

The Shin Bet, Military Intelligence Directorate (Malam), and Israeli Police jointly investigated the earlier case, which involved allegations of gambling based on classified intelligence accessed by reservists due to their positions.
