IDF Seeks Shin Bet Assistance in Leaked Materials Probe
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has initiated an internal investigation into the alleged leak of classified materials used in the production of the film "NZA." Senior military officials have reached out to the Shin Bet security agency requesting assistance in uncovering the source of the information provided to the filmmakers. The IDF is examining its information security department and other potential sources from which materials may have been transferred or where officers might have spoken with the film's creators. The military believes the affair involves not only active-duty soldiers but also reservists who are civilians. A formal request to the Shin Bet is expected to be submitted following guidance from the Military Advocate General and consultation with the Attorney General. According to military analyst Yossi Yehoshua, the Shin Bet is likely to cooperate once the official request is made.
