The list includes diverse locations such as Nugal Beach in Croatia, a pebble cove accessible only by foot or boat; Lady Bay Beach in Sydney, Australia, officially recognized for nude bathing since the 1970s; and Cap d’Agde in France, one of the largest and most famous naturist villages attracting tens of thousands of visitors each summer. Other notable beaches are Haulover Beach Park in Miami, USA, with over 1.3 million visitors annually; Little Palm Beach in New Zealand, accessible by boat and foot; and Buhne 16 in Germany, a historic naturist site known for its North Sea atmosphere.
Additional beaches featured include Red Beach in Crete, Greece, known for its hippie culture; Callantsoog Beach in the Netherlands, officially recognized since 1973; Anse de Grande Saline in Saint Barthelemy, where nude sunbathing is tolerated; and Playa Zipolite in Mexico, a long-standing naturist spot despite lacking official status. CNN also listed 15 other beaches across Uruguay, Lithuania, Thailand, Sweden, the UK, Canada, the US, Spain, Italy, South Africa, the Canary Islands, Saint Martin, Brazil, and Latvia.
