Netanyahu and Trump Affirm Strong US-Israel Alliance After White House Meeting

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke in a Fox News interview following his secretive official visit to Washington, where he met with US President Donald Trump at the White House. Netanyahu described the meeting as "excellent" and among the best they have had, emphasizing the strength of the US-Israel alliance despite critics seeking weaknesses. He stated, "What they find is a wall," highlighting the clear mutual commitment between the two leaders.

The main focus of the discussion was Iran and its nuclear threat. Netanyahu stressed that neither Israel nor the US wants the "fanatical regime in Tehran" to acquire nuclear weapons capable of threatening Americans, global peace, and Israel’s existence. He affirmed a shared goal to prevent this outcome through diplomatic or other means, underscoring the joint commitment as the meeting’s central theme.

During the extended session, which included senior security officials from both countries, Netanyahu presented new intelligence on developments at Mount Hermon and Iran’s nuclear activities. Israeli officials indicated that Iran is undergoing a significant recovery process with foreign assistance, with full details to be shared with the US soon. An American source confirmed the issue is also known from US intelligence.

Earlier, Trump posted photos from the meeting on social media, calling it "a very good meeting" where many important topics were discussed. The visit was conducted under tight secrecy due to security warnings, with Netanyahu departing from Nevatim Airbase instead of Ben Gurion Airport and journalists barred from accompanying the flight. Israeli security agencies had received indications that Iran is intensifying efforts to target Israeli officials in retaliation for the elimination of its leadership.

The Israeli delegation included Ambassador to the US Yacov Livne, National Security Advisor Samuel Ben-Shabbat, Government Secretary Yossi Fuchs, and Chief of Staff Ido Nordan. They met alongside Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff.
