Samsung Ends Updates for Galaxy Devices Running Android 10 or Older

Samsung announced via its Samsung Find app that Galaxy devices operating on One UI 2.0, based on Android 10 or earlier versions, will no longer receive updates for the device tracking app. Although the service will continue to function for now, users will not get new features, bug fixes, performance improvements, or security and compatibility updates. Samsung warns that connecting to newer devices such as phones, watches, earbuds, or tracking tags may become limited as the company updates protocols and service structures.

Users can still reinstall the app from Galaxy Store or Google Play, but only the latest version compatible with their older operating system will be available, not the newest version distributed to newer devices. Samsung explains this move aims to maintain a stable and high-quality service for all users. The change mainly affects older devices that have not updated beyond Android 10 or whose owners have not installed available system updates.

Samsung recommends users check their device settings for newer One UI versions. If no update is available, the app will continue to work for now, but those relying on it for important equipment tracking should be aware that reliability and compatibility may decline over time.
