Itamar Fleishman Says Netanyahu Will Stand Firm Against Pressure in Trump Meeting
During a broadcast of Channel 14's program The Patriots, panelist Itamar Fleishman sharply criticized the news coverage by Channels 12 and 13, accusing them of presenting wish lists rather than real news. Fleishman claimed that many reports from these channels often prove false within 24 hours, citing specific examples such as Yaron Avraham from Channel 12 incorrectly stating there would be no images from a meeting just before photos were released, and downplaying significant events in Lebanon prior to a major assassination. Another panelist supported Fleishman's critique, stating that 90% of what is reported on Channels 12 and 13 turns out to be false.
Addressing reports about a possible confrontation (referred to as "zuvor") during Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, Fleishman emphasized Netanyahu's strong stance. He recalled Netanyahu's very public confrontation with former President Barack Obama in the Oval Office and asserted that Netanyahu will not back down from pressure, even if it means standing up publicly to the U.S. president to defend Israel's interests. Fleishman concluded that this resolute approach is why Netanyahu is chosen over other leaders.
