With 90 days remaining until Israel's 26th Knesset elections, the Central Elections Committee has issued new directives to media outlets and polling institutes regarding election poll transparency. Starting Wednesday, any election poll published must be submitted to the committee within 24 hours, including comprehensive details on the poll's methodology and execution. This requirement aims to increase transparency and allow the public to access not only poll results but also the underlying data.

The committee has established a dedicated reporting system and will publish all submitted information on its official website. The directive applies to all election polls released in the 90-day period before election day, regardless of the medium, electronic media, print, or online platforms. Acting CEO Din Livneh emphasized that polls influence public opinion and voter behavior, which is why the law mandates this level of disclosure.

The Central Elections Committee also announced that its team is available to assist media and polling organizations with any questions about complying with the new reporting requirements.
