Israel and UAE Hold Secret Talks to Coordinate Actions Against Iran

In recent weeks, senior officials from Israel and the United Arab Emirates have conducted several secret meetings aimed at coordinating strategies against Iran, according to a report by Channel 12 News on Tuesday. These meetings took place in a third country, which has not been disclosed, and coincided with escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, including recent U.S. night strikes near the Strait of Hormuz.

During the discussions, UAE officials strongly opposed the memorandum of understanding signed between Iran and the U.S., describing it as an Iranian tactic to recover economically without making genuine concessions. The Israeli and Emirati representatives also explored potential cooperation initiatives within international forums to counter Iran, agreeing that any such moves would be coordinated exclusively with the Americans.

Western diplomats told Channel 12 that unlike other Gulf states, the UAE clearly understands that there can be no leniency toward Iran. They are not concerned about Iran's ability to bypass the Strait of Hormuz for oil and gas exports, which sharpens the shared interests between Israel and the UAE in confronting Iran.
