Trump Warns Iran Military Action Remains Option Ahead of Netanyahu Meeting

U.S. President Donald Trump, in an interview with Fox News on July 28, reiterated his desire to negotiate with Iran but emphasized that military action remains a viable option if talks fail. He warned that the U.S. could destroy Iran's nuclear facilities swiftly, stating, "I can blow up all their power stations in a day." Trump specifically referenced Iran's secret nuclear site at Mount Kachoush, asserting that the U.S. has advanced surveillance capabilities and knows exactly what is happening there without needing information from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump criticized the previous Iran nuclear deal, calling it "stupid," and credited the use of B2 bombers and the termination of the Obama-era agreement for halting Iran's nuclear progress. He declared that if a new deal is not reached, the U.S. would easily dismantle the Mount Kachoush facility.

The remarks came just hours before Trump was scheduled to meet Netanyahu for their eighth meeting since Trump returned to the White House. The meeting was set for 6 p.m. local time, followed by a memorial ceremony for Republican Senator Lindsey Graham three hours later.
