Trump Warns Iran Military Action Remains Possible Ahead of Netanyahu Meeting

U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his desire for negotiations with Iran during a Fox News interview on July 28, 2026, but emphasized that military options remain on the table if talks fail. He threatened to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities swiftly, stating, "I can blow up all their power stations in a day," and warned that the U.S. is prepared to act with force if necessary.

Hours before his scheduled meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump addressed the secret Iranian nuclear site at Mount Machoos. He asserted that the U.S. has advanced surveillance capabilities and does not need Netanyahu to inform him about activities there, saying, "We know exactly what’s happening." Trump added that the U.S. had already dismantled some Iranian nuclear infrastructure and could easily eliminate Mount Machoos if no deal is reached.

Trump criticized the previous Iran nuclear agreement, calling it "a stupid deal," and credited the use of B2 bombers and the termination of the Obama-era pact for halting Iran’s nuclear progress. The meeting between Trump and Netanyahu, their eighth since Trump’s return to the White House, was set for 6 p.m. local time, followed by a memorial ceremony for Republican Senator Lindsey Graham three hours later.
