Firefighters Find Charcoal Pile Suggesting Arson in Jerusalem Forest Fire

A fire broke out on Tuesday in the Yaar HaNasi forest near Derech HaPesalim in the Mateh Yehuda region. During firefighting and search operations, firefighters discovered a pile of smoldering charcoal at the fire's origin point. The Israel Fire and Rescue Services indicated that this finding raises suspicion that the fire was deliberately set by a person. The discovery was made during a site inspection by Jerusalem district firefighters after they extinguished the blaze and surveyed the area.
