Retired Brigadier Erez Wiener Declares Israel the Dominant Security Force in the Middle East
At Israel's Security Conference broadcast on Channel 14, retired Brigadier General Erez Wiener, chairman of the Security Experts group, presented an optimistic assessment of Israel's current security situation. Wiener stated that Israel's security reality today is significantly better than what anyone could have predicted a year and a half ago, regardless of political views.
Wiener detailed Israel's strong positions across multiple fronts: in Gaza, Israel is "sitting on Hamas's throat" indicating a dominant stance; in Lebanon, the northern residents have safely returned home as Hezbollah is weakened and seeking ceasefires; in Syria, Israel maintains control over the Hermon mountain area and protects the Druze community there. Regarding Iran, Wiener emphasized that Iran refrained from targeting Israel in recent conflicts because Israel poses a credible threat.
Concluding his remarks, Wiener asserted Israel's status as the feared power in the region, stating, "We are the factor that everyone fears in the neighborhood." He highlighted Israel's new security doctrine as assertive and uncompromising, capable of striking enemy capitals and eliminating hostile leaders across the Middle East, with Israel's hands still free to act further.
