Tyre Resident Arrested Over Alleged Praise for Sharon Shooting

A woman in her 50s from Tayibe was arrested overnight Friday on suspicion of incitement to terrorism, after allegedly posting praise and support on social media for the shooting attack in the Sharon region. In that attack, Staff Sgt. (res.) Chaim Klumity, 55, a father of three, was killed.

According to police, investigators at the Tayibe station in the Central District opened a probe after receiving information about the post. They said the publication included the words, "Kill Jewish Zionist settlers, pray for him, he is great in the eyes of God," along with the phrase "Kill Jewish Zionist settlers."

After locating the post, detectives from Tayibe station and National Guard fighters from the Border Police raided the suspect's home during the night, arrested her and seized her mobile phone. During questioning, she admitted that the account from which the remarks were published belonged to her.

At the end of the interrogation, the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court extended her detention until Sunday, June 14. The investigation is continuing.
