Ashkelon Driver Arrested Third Time Driving While Suspended and Under Cocaine Influence
On January 17, 2026, police from the Lahav 433 unit in Ashkelon arrested a local man for driving while his license was suspended. This marks the third time he was caught driving during a suspension, with his license having expired on May 1, 2001. The driver was also found to be under the influence of cocaine after providing a positive urine sample during the arrest. This is the fourth instance of him driving under the influence, with two previous indictments already filed against him for similar offenses. Additionally, he is currently serving community service for a prior drug possession case unrelated to personal use. Following the investigation, the suspect was charged by the traffic prosecution unit, and the vehicle owner was summoned for a hearing.
