Gadi Eizenkot's Yisrael Beiteinu Leads as Naftali Bennett's Party Plummets in New Poll

A new poll by Midgam, led by Manu Gabbay and published on Monday by Channel 12 News, reveals a significant shift in Israel's political landscape. The 'Together' party, headed by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, has sharply declined to just 14 Knesset seats, losing 12 seats in the past 13 weeks alone. Meanwhile, Gadi Eizenkot's 'Yisrael Beiteinu' emerges as the largest party with 23 seats, followed closely by Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party with 22 seats, both slightly down by one seat compared to the previous poll.

Other parties show minor changes: the Democratic Party led by Yair Golan drops to 10 seats, while Avigdor Lieberman's Israel Beiteinu maintains 9 seats. The ultra-Orthodox parties Shas, United Torah Judaism, and Otzma Yehudit remain stable at 8 seats each. The Religious Zionism party, led by Bezalel Smotrich, holds 4 seats. In the Arab sector, Hadash-Ta'al and Ra'am each secure 5 seats.

Notably, the newly formed party of reservists, led by Hili Trooper and Yoaz Hendel, crosses the electoral threshold for the first time, gaining 4 seats. Conversely, Benny Gantz's Blue and White party remains below the threshold with 1.6%, and Balad, led by Sami Abu Shehadeh, also falls short with 1.2%.

The opposition bloc, including Arab parties, strengthens to 70 seats, with Zionist opposition parties reaching 60 seats for the first time. The coalition parties collectively hold only 50 seats. Regarding prime ministerial preference, both Eizenkot and Netanyahu receive equal 38% support, while Netanyahu leads Bennett with 40% to 34%. Netanyahu also leads Lieberman with 39% to 25% support.
