Gadi Eizenkot Ties Netanyahu at 21 Seats as Bennett’s Party Plummets to 14 in New Poll

A dramatic new poll by the Midgam Institute, published Tuesday on Channel 13, reveals significant shifts in Israel's political landscape. Gadi Eizenkot's party, Yashar!, has surged to tie with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, each securing 21 Knesset seats. Likud dropped by one seat compared to the previous poll, while Yashar! maintained its position.

The most notable decline is seen in Naftali Bennett's party, Beyachad, which fell to a new low of 14 seats. Meanwhile, the Democrats, led by Yair Golan, continue to gain strength, rising to 11 seats. Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu holds steady at 10 seats, and Otzma Yehudit, headed by Itamar Ben-Gvir, has 7 seats.

Among the ultra-Orthodox parties, Shas and United Torah Judaism each maintain 8 seats. The Religious Zionist Party, led by Bezalel Smotrich, has 5 seats. Arab sector parties Hadash-Ta'al and Ra'am, led by Mansour Abbas, received 6 and 5 seats respectively. The joint Trooper-Hendel list crosses the electoral threshold with 4 seats, while Balad and Blue and White remain below the threshold.

Examining bloc totals, the opposition coalition, including Arab parties, commands 71 seats, significantly outnumbering Netanyahu’s bloc at 49 seats. However, the Zionist opposition lacks the 61-seat majority needed to form a government.

Regarding leadership suitability, Eizenkot leads Netanyahu by 12 percentage points, with 47% favoring Eizenkot versus 35% for Netanyahu. In a direct contest against Bennett, Bennett leads Netanyahu 43% to 40%.
