We all remember what the first game looked like. Without a crowd, in a gloomy atmosphere and radio silence, but tonight the Toto Hall in Holon shook in the opening minutes amid a wonderful display of support from both fan bases.
To the disappointment of the home fans, their team did not start the game well at all, as Maccabi Tel Aviv quickly pulled away to an early double-digit lead, largely thanks to an excellent performance by Jaylen Hoard, who finished the first 10 minutes with 14 points and 6 rebounds. The Yellow continued to control the game afterward thanks to good play from Iffe Lundberg, but a late comeback by the Purple set the margin at 10 at halftime, despite shooting very poorly from beyond the arc, with only 3 three-pointers made on 14 attempts.
