Sharon Yaini and Karin Sorotzinsky Return to Live Shows of Israel’s Dancing with the Stars
On July 27, two couples, former football star Sharon Yaini with dancer Karin Sorotzinsky, and actress Maya Dagan with dancer Shahar Zismanovitch, won the last two spots in the live broadcast stage of Israel’s Dancing with the Stars. They secured their places through the show’s "lifeline" round, where five couples competed for the final two positions after eight couples had already qualified for the live shows.
Yaini and Sorotzinsky impressed the judges with their quickstep performance, earning the highest score of the night and praise from judge David Dvir, who compared Yaini’s determination to his father and noted his resilience as a football player. Yaini’s coach, the captain of Maccabi Tel Aviv, highlighted their hard work since elimination, including a special training camp focused on dance skills.
Maya Dagan and Shahar Zismanovitch earned 34 points for their foxtrot, receiving warm compliments from judge Haim Pashtain, who praised their dance partnership. Dagan shared a touching moment about her daughter Amalia’s supportive message before the competition, encouraging her not to let any number define her.
The judges unanimously chose these two couples over Guy Hochman and Nicole Rogovin, who were eliminated. The live shows will begin next Wednesday, featuring the eight previously qualified couples alongside the two returning pairs.
