Israel Warns of Turkish Efforts to Influence Upcoming Elections Alongside Iranian Threats

As Israel prepares for its upcoming elections, concerns have risen not only about Iranian interference but also about significant Turkish attempts to influence the electoral outcome. Intelligence indicates that Turkey is investing substantial budgets to directly affect the results, paralleling Iran's strategic targeting of Israel.

These efforts reportedly include attempts to pressure Arab parties to unite and initiatives aimed at increasing voter turnout within the Arab sector, facilitated through various organizations operating both inside Israel and abroad.

In response to these revelations, Knesset member Amit Halevi, a member of the Central Elections Committee representing Likud and the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, stated that both Iran and Turkey are actively working to disrupt the elections to unseat Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the right-wing bloc, favoring the left-wing parties instead. Halevi emphasized that this is not mere speculation but based on clear intelligence indications. He affirmed that Israeli authorities are committed to thwarting such interference to protect the integrity of the vote and the sovereignty of Israeli citizens.
