Maccabi Tel Aviv sweeps Hapoel Holon to reach derby final
Maccabi Tel Aviv advanced to the Israeli Basketball Premier League finals on Friday after completing a 3-0 semifinal sweep of Hapoel Holon with a 89-61 win at Menora Mivtachim Arena.
The yellow-clad hosts remained unbeaten in the playoffs, turning in another dominant performance in front of their home crowd. After a relatively close first half, Maccabi took control in the third quarter and pulled away decisively as Holon struggled on both ends of the floor.
Jalen הורד led the way with 18 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the field and finishing as the game's top scorer. Roman Sorkin, Zach Hankins and Jimmy Clark also scored in double figures. Clark returned after a lengthy absence.
With Holon eliminated, Hapoel Tel Aviv is now waiting for Maccabi in the championship series, setting up a Tel Aviv derby final.
