Agent Confirms Maccabi and Hapoel Tel Aviv Interest in Rising Israeli Basketball Star David Mozes

David Mozes continues to impress with the Israeli youth national basketball team during a tournament in China, leading the team to finish first in their group stage. His agent, Hanoch Mintz, spoke on Sport 5's "5 BaAvir" program about Mozes' promising future and career development. Mintz recounted Mozes' early struggles, noting that at age 13 he was overlooked and barely played for Hapoel Holon, highlighting the challenges he overcame.

Mintz praised Mozes' versatility, stating he can play as a forward and handle the ball across the court, confidently predicting Mozes will reach the NBA. While acknowledging Mozes' offensive skills and passing ability, Mintz also pointed out areas for improvement, such as increasing his average blocks per game. He revealed that major Israeli clubs Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv have shown interest in Mozes, but the agent and player declined, focusing instead on Mozes strengthening his weaknesses first.

Regarding Mozes' college choice in the United States, Mintz explained that although larger programs like Duke expressed interest, they preferred Mozes to start at a smaller college to develop gradually. He contrasted Mozes' path with that of NBA player Deni Avdija, emphasizing that each player's journey is unique and that Mozes took longer to emerge as a top talent. Mintz concluded that their priority is to maximize Mozes' potential rather than compare him to others.
