Innovation Minister Gila Gamliel Defends IDF Reservists Amid Shde Teyman Controversy

Israeli Innovation and Science Minister Gila Gamliel released a video on Monday expressing strong support for IDF reservists involved in the Shde Teyman incident and criticizing protest groups opposing military service. In the video, Gamliel challenged the appropriation of the term "brothers in arms" by activists who refuse to serve, emphasizing that the true comrades are those who leave their families to defend Israel's borders unconditionally.

Gamliel addressed the allegations against Unit 100 soldiers accused of sexual assault during the Shde Teyman operation, calling the accusations a "false blood libel" that damaged Israel's international relations amid ongoing conflict. She condemned protest organizations for their silence on the issue and highlighted efforts by herself and the national camp to ensure full legal representation for the soldiers, which ultimately led to the charges being dropped.

Concluding her message, Gamliel urged voters to support the Likud party and the national camp in the upcoming elections to form a broad government under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. She stressed that such leadership is essential to unite the nation, fully back the IDF soldiers fighting on the front lines, and honor those sacrificing for Israel's security.
