Thai Club Buriram United Offers Lucrative Deal for Maccabi Haifa's Matias Nahuel

Buriram United, the reigning champions of Thailand and the country's wealthiest football club, has made a substantial offer to Matias Nahuel, Maccabi Haifa's expensive signing who struggled to make an impact during his brief tenure with the Israeli club. The Thai club's squad is valued at approximately 13.13 million euros, surpassing Maccabi Netanya and nearing the valuation of Hapoel Tel Aviv's roster. Among their players is Brazilian striker Bisoli, valued at 2.2 million euros.

According to Salary Sport, Buriram United has three players earning over 500,000 euros annually, matching Nahuel's salary at Maccabi Haifa, and 11 players earning above 350,000 euros per season. This financial capacity enables the club to comfortably cover Nahuel's wages. The team, coached by former Leeds United player Mark Jackson, will compete in the group stage of the upcoming AFC Champions League after securing the Thai league title with 70 points.

Notable earners at Buriram include 27-year-old striker Bisoli with a salary of 1 million euros per season, midfielders Peter Zollei and Robert Zollei earning 535,000 and 530,000 euros respectively, goalkeeper Neil Etheridge at 480,000 euros, midfielder Goran Causic at 437,000 euros, and defender Ko Myung-suk at 426,000 euros annually. This financial backdrop makes a transfer for Nahuel to Buriram United a realistic possibility.
