A member of Beersheba's city council responded to criticism from Rabbi Roee Amgar by detailing the significant budgets, initiatives, and achievements led by the Religious Zionist party in the Negev and across Israel. Highlighting a 1.2 billion shekel government investment spearheaded by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, the council member emphasized transformative progress in Beersheba’s cultural, community, and infrastructure sectors. These include expanded funding for cultural institutions, sports facilities, urban renewal in older neighborhoods, and enhanced absorption of over 25 immigrant families from France, strengthening the city’s demographic and social fabric.
The article also underscored the party’s role in national security, crediting its firm stance in the security cabinet with preventing multi-front escalations from Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, and Iran.
