Israeli Intelligence Committee Warns of Iranian Interference Ahead of 2026 Elections

He stressed that the committee is preparing seriously with professional, technological, and legal measures in cooperation with all relevant authorities. The committee's role, he said, is to protect fair discourse, freedom of expression, and public trust in the electoral process.

Shin Bet chief David Zini outlined the agency's security preparations for election day, including counterterrorism efforts. He clarified the clear separation between Shin Bet's routine work under the Prime Minister's office and its responsibility to safeguard election integrity under Solberg's authority, emphasizing that this directive comes directly from the Prime Minister.
