INSS Head Warns US Support for Israel Is Fading After Trump Presidency

Tamir Hayman, head of the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), expressed concern over the diminishing American support for Israel following the end of Donald Trump's presidency. Speaking at the Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth National Security Conference in cooperation with INSS, Hayman highlighted that while the Israeli military remains strong and benefits from joint wars that have fostered admiration among commanders, political backing in the White House now relies heavily on a single individual. He attributed this reliance to internal American issues, including a loss of moral and value-based consensus within fringe left-wing circles, a phenomenon unrelated directly to Israel. However, Hayman noted that well-funded campaigns, particularly from Qatar, have linked these American domestic concerns with the Palestinian issue, influencing the broader narrative about America's national future and its support for Israel.
