Houthi Official Declares Resistance Axis Committed to Confronting Israel Amid Red Sea Tensions

Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a senior member of the Houthi political bureau, stated that the Bab al-Mandeb Strait is currently completely closed to Saudi maritime traffic. He asserted that it is not in America's interest to be involved with Saudi Arabia in aggression against Yemen. Al-Bukhaiti warned that if the United States does engage in aggression against Yemen, it would provide the Houthis an opportunity to strike back. He emphasized a policy of escalating response to any escalation. Furthermore, he declared that the countries of the Resistance Axis are committed to confronting Israel.
