Oula Kravchenko Welcomes Reinvestigation of Tair Rada Murder Case

Oula Kravchenko addressed the recent developments in the investigation of the 2006 murder of Tair Rada, following the decision to reopen the case with a new investigative team. In a video message to her followers, Kravchenko expressed hope that the renewed examination of evidence and new information would finally identify the true perpetrator. She emphasized that Rada's family deserves peace after years of uncertainty and suffering.

Kravchenko stated she has received many inquiries since the case was reopened but is not afraid of being summoned for questioning again. She recalled that the investigation involving her was closed in July 2021 due to lack of evidence, and she is willing to cooperate fully if new information emerges. She also addressed accusations against her, noting that although she was publicly accused and tried in the court of public opinion, no formal charges were ever filed. Currently, she is suing her ex-partner, whom she holds responsible for the allegations made against her.

The renewed investigation was ordered by Boaz Balat, head of the Police Investigations and Intelligence Division, who transferred the case from the Northern District to the Tel Aviv National Unit. The new team will utilize advanced technological tools unavailable during the original investigation. Tair Rada was murdered in December 2006 at Nofey Golan School in Katzrin. Roman Zadorov was initially convicted but acquitted in a retrial in 2023, leaving the case unresolved. The reinvestigation aims to break new ground and bring justice in the long-unsolved murder.
