Four-Year-Old Yuval Kogen Found After Disappearance on Ashkelon Beach, Mother Calls It a Miracle

Four-year-old Yuval Kogen, who went missing at Dogit Beach in Ashkelon, was found and reunited with his family after a day-long search. Yuval was located on Nitzanim Beach, about ten kilometers from where he disappeared. The search involved helicopters, marine police, divers, and rescue units combing the coastline and nearby areas.

Yuval's mother, Dina, expressed difficulty in processing the event but emphasized that despite circulating rumors on social media, she and her husband consider the outcome a great miracle. She shared receiving hundreds of supportive messages from friends and strangers alike and praised the strong sense of community and mutual responsibility in Israel.

Dina described Yuval as a sweet and resilient child who is behaving normally following the ordeal. She also praised her husband, calling him "Father of the Year" in their neighborhood. Prior to Yuval's discovery, his parents had feared he might have been abducted and had appealed to the public for help. His father recounted how Yuval vanished within five minutes while standing close to him, noting the suspicious circumstances given the number of people present at the beach.
