Israeli Police Crack Down on Minors with Alcohol and Drugs During Summer Operation

Over the recent weekend, police in the Judea and Samaria district intensified efforts to combat youth involvement in criminal activities, focusing on violence, alcohol consumption, and traffic offenses. In Ma'ale Adumim, officers confiscated over 14 alcoholic beverages from minors and inspected businesses suspected of selling alcohol to underage customers. On Thursday night, Ma'ale Adumim police collaborated with municipal patrol units, riot police, youth detectives, and parent volunteers to increase presence in parks and youth gathering spots, issuing eight traffic citations and removing a defective scooter from the road. Enforcement also targeted noise violations and public disturbances, alongside covert operations to prevent illegal alcohol sales to minors.

In Modi'in Illit, youth detectives and volunteers identified minors consuming alcohol, seized suspected drugs, and enforced traffic laws. Authorities also apprehended a young man who violated house arrest conditions related to a prior burglary charge. In Beitar Illit and nearby communities, detectives detained a minor suspected of assaulting a bus driver. Additionally, two adults were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, with one case involving alleged sales to minors and the other concerning a minor daughter who reportedly consumed the purchased drugs.
