Attorney Eti Ben Dor Appointed Tel Aviv District Tax and Economic Prosecutions Chief

Attorney Eti Ben Dor has been appointed Tel Aviv District Prosecutor (Taxation and Economics), replacing Attorney Yehonatan Tadmor, according to a statement issued today by the State Attorney's Office. Ben Dor currently serves as deputy district prosecutor, and she will assume the post after being selected unanimously by the Civil Service Commission's tender committee.

Attorney Yehonatan Tadmor, who recently completed his term, was appointed deputy state attorney for economic enforcement.

The members of the tender committee that selected Ben Dor were retired District Court Judge Miriam Diskin (chair); State Attorney Attorney Amit Aisman; the legal adviser to the Tax Authority, Attorney Harel Israely; and the chair of the Prosecutors' Organization, Attorney Orit Korin.

Attorney Ben Dor, 53, is married and the mother of four. She holds a master's degree with honors in public administration from Harvard University in the United States, as part of the Wexner Foundation program, and a bachelor's degree in law and economics from Tel Aviv University.

She began her professional career as an intern in the Taxation and Economics Prosecution Department. Over the years she served as team leader and head of unit, and in the past five years she has served as deputy district prosecutor. In parallel, she is responsible for enforcement in the area of foreign bribery.

Over the years, Ben Dor has handled a wide range of public corruption cases, tax offenses and complex economic cases. Among the notable cases she handled are the Holyland case, the Shikun & Binui case, and the case against David Bitan and others.
