Nigerian Footballer Overlooked by Israeli Premier League Club Now Sought by Premier League Teams

Nigerian footballer Chibueze Nwaivu, who was trialed by Israeli Premier League club Bnei Sakhnin three and a half years ago but ultimately not signed, is now attracting significant interest from English Premier League teams. Earlier this year, during the January transfer window, Nwaivu was sold for 5.5 million euros and currently has a market value of 10 million euros according to Transfermarkt. He is reportedly being pursued by Crystal Palace and Fulham, with Fulham having secured his verbal agreement and initiating negotiations with his current club, Trabzonspor.

Nwaivu, 22, moved to Trabzonspor from Wolfsberger AC, where he impressed in 16 appearances including European competition qualifiers. Since joining Trabzonspor in January, he has made 21 appearances, scored three goals, and contributed to the club winning the Turkish Cup and finishing third in the league. Crystal Palace is closely monitoring the situation, aiming to act swiftly due to the anticipated departure of Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea.
