Hapoel Be'er Sheva Coach Pulls Lucas Ventura From Training Over Lack of Effort
On Friday morning, Hapoel Be'er Sheva coach Ran Kozuch stopped midfielder Lucas Ventura during training after noticing the Brazilian was not performing at his usual level. Kozuch spoke with Ventura on the field and instructed him to end his session, citing that if he could not give 100 percent, it was better to rest on the sidelines. Sources within the club suggested Ventura's reduced effort could be due to a minor injury, illness, or other reasons.
Ventura had also been late returning to training after the break, similar to teammate Kings Kangwa. However, unlike Kangwa, who is set to transfer to Panathinaikos after the upcoming Champions League qualifier against Vikingur, Ventura is expected to remain with Hapoel Be'er Sheva as no official offers have been received for him during the break. The club is confident Kangwa will give his all in the upcoming match and finish his tenure positively.
Meanwhile, Hapoel Be'er Sheva is actively searching for a replacement midfielder and a new defender to strengthen the squad ahead of their Champions League qualifying campaign.
