Itay Zar Calls for Harsh Security Measures After Killing of Binyahu Malat in West Bank Attack

Itay Zar, co-founder of the Gilad Farm and brother of the late Gilad Zar, broke down in tears during an interview with Channel 7 following the fatal attack that killed Binyahu Malat, a key member of the farm's security team. Zar described Malat as a highly respected individual and family man, lamenting the loss and condemning the attackers as murderous enemies. He rejected claims blaming settler violence, stating such rhetoric endangers Jewish lives.

Zar sharply criticized the current security policy and demanded a tougher response to attacks. He announced plans to establish two new farms in the area as a direct response to the violence, emphasizing that Malat had been involved in their planning. Zar linked the attack to recent arson incidents, highlighting a hostile atmosphere against Jews in the region.

He called for decisive action against the Palestinian village of Tal, which he accused of harboring attackers, demanding its destruction similar to measures taken in Gaza. Zar questioned why Jewish residents must continue to die and bury their loved ones, insisting that such attacks must not be tolerated and that stronger deterrents are necessary to prevent future violence.
