The Palestinian terrorist group Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) officially announced the death of Kozo Okamoto on Thursday. Okamoto, a member of the Japanese Red Army, a radical Marxist leftist organization, participated alongside the PFLP in the 1972 massacre at Lod Airport in Israel. He was released in the 1985 Jibril prisoner exchange and subsequently lived in Lebanon until his death at age 78.
