Senior Iranian Jewish Rabbis Call for Blood Revenge Against Israel at Official Regime Event

At an official Iranian regime conference titled "Fulfilling the Promise of Revenge," senior members of Iran's Jewish community publicly called for "blood revenge" against Israel. Dr. Hakham Hamami Le Lazar, a leading rabbi in the Iranian Jewish community, quoted the Torah, specifically Numbers 35:33, stating that "bloodshed can only be atoned for by the blood of the murderer." He emphasized preferring the term "blood revenge" over "revenge" for its clearer international meaning and called for retaliation against those responsible for harming Iran's leadership.

Alongside him, Homayoun Shamh, the Jewish community's representative in the Iranian parliament, accused Israel and the United States of terrorism and criticized Western double standards. He argued that while Iran is accused of supporting terrorism, the West remains silent about alleged Israeli and American actions against Iranian officials and civilians. Shamh also cited the Jewish principle of "an eye for an eye" to justify Iran's right to respond proportionally.

The participation of prominent Jewish figures in a regime event promoting hostility toward Israel, and their use of Torah verses to legitimize calls for revenge, has drawn significant attention.
