Bnei Sakhnin Rejects Maccabi Haifa Defender Pedrao Due to Injury Concerns

Bnei Sakhnin, returning from a training camp in Hungary, is preparing for their upcoming Toto Cup match on Saturday. The club has cleared midfielders Norberto Carlos and Modestas Vorobjovas, as well as defender Amit Cardi, for participation. Goalkeeper Raul Belbrao and midfielder Niv Livnat may also be registered as trial players for the game, but left-back Sana Gomes will only be eligible if officially registered with the football association.

The club is currently negotiating with Dimitri Cabrera, a 31-year-old Guadeloupe national team defender who can also play right back. Cabrera made 24 appearances last season for Aroksfor and was previously acquired by Ran for three million euros. Meanwhile, Bnei Sakhnin declined to sign Pedrao, a defender from Maccabi Haifa, due to his extensive injury history and are exploring other options. During the camp, they also evaluated right back Roy Herman, formerly of Maccabi Herzliya, but decided against signing him.
