Bnei Sakhnin Rejects Maccabi Haifa Defender Pedro Due to Injury Concerns

Bnei Sakhnin, returning from a training camp in Hungary, is preparing for their upcoming Toto Cup match on Saturday. The club has cleared midfielders Norberto Carlos and Modestas Vorobjovas, as well as defender Amit Cardi, for participation. Goalkeeper Raul Belberau and midfielder Niv Livnat may also be registered as trialists for the game, but left-back Sana Gomes will only be eligible if officially registered with the football association.

Negotiations are ongoing with Dimitri Kabra, a 31-year-old Guadeloupe national team defender who can also play right-back. Kabra appeared 24 times last season for Aroksfor and was previously acquired by Ran for three million euros. Meanwhile, Pedro, a defender from Maccabi Haifa, was offered to Bnei Sakhnin but was declined due to his extensive injury history. The club prefers to explore other options.

During the camp, Bnei Sakhnin also evaluated right-back Roy Herman, who played last season for Maccabi Herzliya, but decided against signing him. The search for a right-back and a central defender continues as the team finalizes its roster for the new season.
