Iran Threatens Gulf States Hosting US Forces Amid Rising Tensions with Trump

Iranian official Mohammad Marandi, close to Tehran's regime, issued a veiled threat against Gulf states hosting American military bases following recent warnings from US President Donald Trump. Marandi stated on social media that if the US escalates tensions, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and possibly Oman should be evacuated of American forces. This statement comes after Trump declared that any Iranian attempt to revive its nuclear program, whether through a new site, equipment acquisition, or other means, would prompt a US military response.

A military source cited by the Israeli news outlet Tazpit warned that if the US attacks Iranian infrastructure such as bridges or power stations, Iran would retaliate by targeting strategic energy and infrastructure sites in the region, including those important to the US. Trump had earlier threatened to bomb and destroy Iranian bridges or power stations, including those near Tehran, if Iran neared a nuclear breakthrough using any delivery method such as missiles, drones, or other weapons.

Marandi's remarks are seen as a direct warning to Gulf countries hosting US bases amid fears of further escalation in the US-Iran conflict. No official response has yet been issued by the US administration regarding Marandi's comments.
