Trump Vows Heavy Price on Iran After US Soldiers Killed in Jordan Attack
US President Donald Trump participated in the traditional 'honorable escort' ceremony, where the bodies of fallen soldiers are flown back to their hometowns aboard Air Force One, accompanied by senior White House officials as a mark of respect. Before boarding the plane, Trump spoke to the American media, promising that Iran would pay a heavy price following an attack on residential areas at a US base in Jordan, which resulted in the deaths of two out of four soldiers. "Iran attacked residential facilities, they are going to pay a big price, a huge price, they are already being destroyed," Trump declared.
The president also emphasized that all the fallen soldiers deeply believed in preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He pledged that their sacrifice would not be in vain and that Iran would never obtain nuclear arms. "We are going to honor our heroes, and they truly are tremendous heroes. Each of them believed very deeply that Iran must not be allowed to get nuclear weapons, and they will not have nuclear weapons. We are going to honor that," Trump stated.
