Israeli Police Recommend Charging Ultra-Orthodox Man for Censorship Breaches on Telegram Channel
Israeli police have completed their investigation into Ari Brickman, an ultra-Orthodox man identified by Avishai Grinzeig of i24NEWS as the operator behind the Telegram channel "Security News from the Field Without Censorship." The police have forwarded their recommendation to prosecute him to the Attorney General's office, which is now expected to decide on the case. Brickman was investigated by the Lahav 433 unit on suspicion of violating censorship regulations during the military operation "With the Lion." According to reports, Brickman’s Telegram channel published sensitive information about serious incidents and casualties before the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson authorized their release.
