Streamer Clavicular Defends Israeli Soldier and Criticizes IDF After Controversial Visit

American streamer Clavicular, who sparked controversy upon arriving in Israel, spoke in an interview with Piers Morgan about his recent visit. He admitted he does not fully understand the war against Hamas but defended Israeli soldier Shira Brown, who was dismissed by the IDF after appearing in a live broadcast with him. Clavicular called her dismissal a mistake, saying she did nothing wrong and should not have been punished.

During the interview, Morgan questioned whether Clavicular’s trip was a public relations effort to rehabilitate his image following a previous scandal involving a "Heil Hitler" incident in Miami. Clavicular denied this, stating his visit was not an apology tour but an attempt to show his followers different aspects of Israel. Morgan criticized him for not visiting conflict zones or showing the reality in Gaza, to which Clavicular responded that he enjoyed his time at a hotel in Tel Aviv rather than touring a war zone, emphasizing that it is the responsibility of journalists, not a 20-year-old streamer, to cover such areas.

Clavicular described his experience in Israel positively, mentioning that he participated in a remix of a well-known Jewish song, performed in a club, and was warmly received by locals on Rothschild Boulevard. He acknowledged the criticism that ignoring the war might make him appear as a propaganda tool for Israel but maintained that his role is not to be a journalist.

Regarding the IDF’s decision to dismiss Shira Brown, Clavicular called the reaction an overblown internet storm and said it was unfair to punish one of their own who did nothing wrong. When Morgan asked if he believed the IDF should not have disciplined her, Clavicular answered affirmatively.
